Hail all you metalheads,

Alright since you have asked for pity and really want to hear something about the new album I guess I will open up a little.

You are correct that the album is in it's final stages of production. I am finishing the mix-mastering right now. Just a little more clean up to do on a couple of the tracks and I think I will be burning the master copies tonight.

The title for the album is to be Voyager. It is a epic concept about a group of warrior Vikings fleeing the conversion era of northern Europe. It is what I would call historical fiction. To be brief our group of Norsemen, who will not let go of their belief in the old gods, venture along the eastern coast of the new world on a dragonship named the Voyager. They fight natives, wheather, sea storms and a psychotic bishop until their travels lead them to the coast of Mexico where they are accepted by the Toltecs as returning gods. Our hero leader of the Vikings helps the Toltecs in their war against the other tribes of the region and ...........well this is geting a little long winded for a posting here.

So onto the music. Sometimes it is hard for me to classify the music or describe it because I am not sure I hear things the way many other people do. Anyway I will tell you what I think. The style of this album seems to be a little darker than the last few efforts. It reminds me at times of the Mystification style of writing. The album goes through the whole gambit of musical styles. There is some acoustic stuff, a ballad, some hard rock and a bunch of heavy **** as well. There's spacey stuff, fast and furious stuff, crazy guitar solos and some of the best head bashing drumming that I have ever heard. I think I have done a better job on the production of this project with it sounding more full than our last efforts. It's epic and majestic. Dark and heavy. As a matter of fact this project is so cool that it might save you a bunch of money on your car insurance.

I expect the rlease of Voyager to be in February about the time that we are in Italy at the Play It Loud festival. I must sign off now but there will be more news from the Shark in the near future.

Thanks to all for your support

Sooooo excited!

That's hard to say because they have a different sound on every album. Mystification is one of my favourites by them for sure though.

Everyone should hear the epic masterpiece that is Crystal Logic.

Aside from that, all I have is Mystification and Gates of Fire but they both rule quite hard.
Someone mind upping a couple of mp3s from assorted other classics?

Also, this new concept sounds pretty interesting. While I loved the last album, I'm hoping this one takes on a bit more of that 80s vibe in the songwriting and production.

Definitely "Open the Gates" is a must have (though generally a pain in the ass to find).

Yeah, all I got out of that sentence was the sound of your mouth on a dick. We're discussing a quality band that I would assume you appreciate as well and the fact is, sometimes albums aren't easy to get a hold of in the modern era at least on this side of the pond. So take your wankery elsewhere, thanks.

Seriously, people complain about me on this forum while IotS has repeatedly (for years) made such an ass of himself that it is a wonder he isn't shunned seven times as harshly as Susperia?

Wtf?
