March 27th, 2004 show is CANCELLED!

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:

Testament will be pulling out of the hometown show scheduled for March 27th, 2004 (with Death Angel and Sadus) at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco. We regret to inform you all that the band was forced to do this as the promoter never delivered on major commitments related to advertising. Refunds for tickets should be made at the place of purchase.

The good news is the band will be concentrating on pre-production for the upcoming album and a May recording.

Shit happens. I couldn't go anyway........I would rather have them working on the next release anyway. I'm sure the guys are busy in the studio now anyway and this won't be taking away from their hard work. I felt like I was really going to be bummed that I couldn't make it to the show, and I'm not trying to sound fkd but I feel better knowing that I am not going to miss this show. Thanks for cheering me up TL!

Take the good with the bad!!

Us fans aren't privy to what 'advertising commitments' were or were not broken, but I've got to think that anyone who was going to go to this show already knew about it...

Remember a few years ago, Exodus played off the wall venues in Petaluma, Fresno, Sac, and Nevada City? I'd bet those and a bunch of other still haven't booked a show for the 27th!! I like Chaos' suggestion!!

OH SHIT! that sucks!! man........
im sorry guys! i wasnt gonna go to that because i couldnt but man some of you were and well..everyones plans are shot! dammit!
:(

FUCKING ASSHOLE NAZI FACIST GREED SUCKING PIG PROMOTER PIECES OF SHIT!

I know this has nothing at all to do with Testament and that everyone who
was going to this show was excited beyond belief so this really sucks. I wasnt
gonna be going because of mileage and personal trauma but it's awesome
all the fans realize this had nothing to do with Testament while it sucks none
the less.

The people always have a choice. Angry fans can take their voices to
the promoter. You are an American and your voice counts.

Unless you are Pyrus, in which case your scary jewfro is too intimidating
and it gives people the creeps. I know his jewfro creeeeeps me out.

Well, it's not going to be that easy to just "get our money back" some plane tickets aren't refundable..but I'm glad some of us are relieved:Smug:

Hey MindInsane, that's true, isn't it? I guess that means Testament Legions
is hosting a party and having everyone over for a fiesta?

I knew it was too risky to start selling tickets 3 weeks before the concert, man, I was really crossing my fingers the whole time that this wouldn't happen! shit!
hopefully they book the same bands with the addition of judas priest, but lose social evil, and maybe innocence.

3 weeks in advance is not a biggie. that's common. It's the promoter

Well..probably not..maybe the jackass promoter could reimburse people though? Oh well..it's not like I don't go to the bay area all the time anyway...at least 3 times a year. Maybe I'll be able to time another trip around a show. I know it's not Testament's fault..and I have no bad feelings towards them. It's just frusturating when all the effort and planning is made for a trip...and then...ya got nuthin:erk: Promoting seems like such a fickle business....
