If you ever have the chance to go to a Marduk show, do it immediately. Just saw them at Metal Camp and the only other band that came close was Carcass. Opeth for an honorable mention.

Last time i went to Marduk was in January and the crowd was like wtf ? only 40 people or so . They played 50 mins and left

Saw em at Wacken 05 and was incredibly unimpressed. 45 minutes of nonstop blast beats gets boring, i guess. World Funeral certainly has a couple catchy tracks, though.

saw em around '01 or so, they were ok. im not too familiar with their music, 'Christ Raping Black Metal' is a fucking great song though.

oh yeh, after this set the singer jumped into the crowd with his giant spikey arm bands and cut my friend's hand! he was pissed haha.

It should also be said that they were playing at 3 in the morning and still slayed everyone. They just opened up and exploded.

I'm not sure about Marduk owning me, but Marduk owned Tiamat pretty hard.

I'm sorry, did I just make a bad heavy metal joke? Do humans find such humor constructed on puns funny?

Marduk was one of the first BM bands I ever listened to. I saw 'em live twice. They sucked big time.

With shows like that I find it depends almost as much on the crowd as on the band. If you have a bunch of lame asses just standing around and doing nothing no matter what the band does its gonna suck. But if everyone goes nuts JUST ONCE the feeling (and the moshing) will cary on untill the end \m/

It was like 3 in the morning and they had to be moved to a different stage due to bad weather and such, postponed everyone's show for like 2 hours...you could tell they were rather pissed. They just came out and slayed.

the first demo was fucking amazing...first two albums after that were good. After that...all you have to listen to is "Heaven shall burn when we are gathered" to get the point of everything else. If anyone has any Marduk recs that aren't just nonstop blasting I'm all ears. Because non stop blasting with trem picked riffs, album after album is just boring.
