My brother is looking for a reasonably priced wedding photographer who will allow them to keep the negatives without paying an exorbitant amount. Does anyone know anyone? Victorian location preferred, as they'd need a pretty good zoom lens to take the pictures if they were interstate, and an even better one if they were intercontinental.
Phloggy, a photography student might be able to help... they're usually looking for experience, and something for their portfolio, and I doubt they'd be really picky about that kinda thing (unless they're super anal...)
Phloggy there are a few Australian based wedding sites, I'll see if I can remember the names for you and I'll post the links here - most of them have directories. The wedding mags only tend to cover the really fancy pants guys, but what Mark says is actually a good point. Finding out where the local colleges are and asking around there or putting notes up is always good - photography students will normally do some weddings to earn a little money. Failing all of that do what we did - get your mates to do it.
Spawn: thought of that. The suggestion was rejected.
Mark: thought of that. I've suggested they go to the local TAFE or something and ask around.
Dreamy: thanks, those links would be good.
Winmar: read my post again.
