Marshall JCM900 4101 Dual Reverb

Found this one in adds.the guy is asking for 500 euros.Reverb is not working.
I heard it maybe two days ago while i was recording some new year show for TV.The guy from the backing band used it and it was loud as hell but he is using a stratocaster and playing a folk music so it wasn't much of a reference.
Should I give it a go?Did anyone had any experience with these amp?How it sounds with TS in front of it?

it's the worst of the 900 series.....500€ is FAR too expensive, those usually go for 350-400€....with a working reverb

900's seem to be almost universally loathed around these parts.
I happen to think they sound pretty good for certain things, not necessarily high gain metal. What so you want it for?

Thank you for replies.First of all I somehow double posted this thread and I do apologize to forum admin.and members for doing this(i believe i did this one more time but I can`t remember when,what can I say I`m a bloody genious).
Well basically I`m not into totally high gain tone I`m more into hard rock on steroids,classic heavy metal type of sound.Can you recommend me a tube amp with 1x12 or 2x12 30-50 W max. that has a decent sound.Lts say tht my budget is more or less 500 euros,I will be using it mainly for recording in my room that`s not too big.I currently own a LTD MH-400NT,TS 5 pedal that is going to be modified soon.As an audio interface I use Toneport UX 1 with metal,collectors and FX junkie addons.

Too sharp. I used to own one, and i had to turn the presense and treble all the way down

i used to have the 4100, and for rock its fine, and to be honest it has one of the best clean channels of most marshalls IMO really full and toneful! but id deffo not want to have one again as my main amp, terrible piece of gear for metal!

If it's classic heavy metal in a small combo you're looking for then a Peavey Windsor Studio would be ideal I reckon. Will do rock up to Iron Maiden type tones, and with a tubescreamer in front it get's quite a bit heavier. Only 285 Euro's from Thomann, leaving you more money for beer or possibly another amp for clean tone's.
