hey yall... i know! a dfx! euch!

anyway our band doesn't have a choice because we cant haul our stacks around so were forced to use dfx's at practice.

anyway my singer owns the dfx and the other guitarist was playing into it and it just magically stopped working.

amp powers up, lights come on, fan at the back turns but no sound.

tried many guitars in it and an ipod to see if it was a guitar/cable problem. its not.

i checked out the manual online, nothing about fuses or anything in the amp.

anyone know anything about these pieces of shit?

try opening her up and checking the fuses- recently opened up a 2 channel power amp that had 1 side die on me. including the fuse in the kettle lead there were 8 fuses , only 2 accessable from the exterior. Changed a dodgy looking 1 and everything works perfectly again. Same symptoms as you've described

I wish my DFX would stop producing sound :(

No, it could be a bad fuse, BE CAREFUL when you open it up.

Maybe check the speaker cable between the head and cab section of the combo (If it's the combo version) - see if it's loose or try another speaker cable (Not an instrument cable).
