Marshall SL-X

I've got one. Had it for years but haven't plugged it in for a long time. Quite hard to dial in right with the 2 gain stages, but it can sound good.

Steer: Yeah, if I remember correctly, almost all of the guitar tracks were done with at least two amps going at once--one of them being a large amp, like the Anniversary [on channel two], a Marshall SL-X 100 watt or the 5150, and then also more often than not, my 10-watt [Marshall] Valvestate micro-stack for extra texture.

Hehe how? You gay or something?

Seeing as this is supposed to be a SFW board it kinda shits me off when people put things like that as their sigs when I'm browsing the forum at my day job. Everyone loves a whore, sure, but come on man.

Back on topic: Heard an SL-X in person a few weeks back, it was damn nice but not the best one ever. Honestly prefer the JVM.

SL-X is def one of those amps that needs a boost in front of it IMO. I liked it without one, but preferred it with one. Played live with mine for 2 years and loved it. Think Lasse would make it sound golden. GET ONE!
