Is it just me, or is the solo in Masquerade highly unreckognized??

That solo is one of the best ones MJR has done, in my opinion. It's amazing. And yet, I can't find a live video of it anywhere. Oh well, maybe they'll play it when I see them in April.

I only know Masquerade '98, and I agree. That solo is actually one of my favourites and it is never talked about. I also love how right when it starts, the rhythm takes a turn into a darker, heavier realm.

I'm REALLY hoping that they play it on this tour. I'm seeing them in April up in Cleveland, and it would be killer to see them perform that live. Especially because it's one of my favorite SX songs.

It would be a welcome addition to the setlist. They need to desperately drop Sea of Lies, Sins, and Inferno (as many others have said). Evo is on the fence for me.

I think they could possibly keep inferno, but I agree with the rest. Also, I love it when they end with The Odyssey. It's so epic!

I think the song is cool...a touch goofy at moments, but I totally agree about the guitar solo...awesome!

Yeah the tapping part with the bass and the guitar is real nice and the solo is wickedly cool and unique.

I believe you're talking about the same riff I was refering to. I made a mistake when I said it was right when the solo started, since it's actually partway through. It's definitely a bad ass riff

I actually asked Mike why they left Masquerade out when SX came in Toronto not long ago, he told me because it was an old song and they wanna play more of they're new stuff as much as possible. So i dont know maybe next time they will play it, that solo gives me the chills everytime i hear it
