Hella again my dear brethren. I have now completed my cover of Naysayer, and for those that do enjoy mixing practices, I present to you, these multitracks! I hope you will find them useful. :)

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3KPvIN6V6Z7T3BjZXhISlNMTTA/view?usp=sharing

1x Drum MIDI (Mapped after Steven Slate Drums 4)
1x Bass MIDI
1x Synth MIDI
2x Exported synth layers
1x FTS Edge Bass Render
1x Zombass 2 Render
1x Zombass 3 Render
1x Rythm Guitar L&R
1x Lead Guitar L&R
1x Distant Guitar L&R
1x Reference Mix
1x Readme

Everything recorded at 48KHz, 24 bit through my Axe-Fx 2 with my Schecter Damien 7 equipped with EMG-HZ pickups.

Tempo map is embedded in the MIDI files.

Here is my mix/playthrough:

In this mix I used:

Steven Slate Drums 4 for Drums
Axe-Fx 2 for Guitars/Bass Processing
Zombass 3 for the "bass" part of the bass and FTS Edge Bass for the "Grit" and "Dist" part of the bass

You are 100% free to use your own mix as a means of promoting your own services however you want, as long as you credit the recording to Daybreak Studio and link to our Facebook Page:

Also, if you want to you may also link to the video playthrough I did of this song.

Hope you guys enjoy these tracks! Let me know if there's any problems. :)

First time to hear clean and separated Zombass and FTS Edge Bass, and wow! Those definitely sound like a real bass, but played by hyper fast and accurate robot. Is there somekind of humanizer knob available on them, like there is on drum programs

Reaper has a humanizer option for time and velocity

Hey man, not quite sure what you mean, it seems fine here. Could you describe your problem more in-depth?

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/19917325/Midiproblem.jpg thats what I'm getting when I import the Midi. As you can see for example in the 8th bar the midi plays single notes? While the bass track is playing 16th notes? I can use the rendered bass but I like using Trilian :)

Edit: By moving the rendered bass one bar over, it fixed the alignment problem. But I'm still getting single notes on the bass for some reason.
Edit: Alright, the midi is missing the lowest string. G?

Yeah, I can see your problem, although I'm afraid if I can't accurately reproduce your problem here at my setup, I can't fix what's wrong. As I said, it's working just fine here. And I have no idea what the problem might be. Are you sure you're importing the MIDI correctly? Have you had problems like these before with other mix practices?

It's never happened before. But problem solved. I loaded the MIDI into Guitar Pro then exported the MIDI. Inserted the Midi to my DAW and now everything is there.

This song is so good. Looooove the vocals on the original. Brings back memories of rockin' Linkin Park haha

There are velocity, tuning, and timing humanization knobs on the FTS Edge Bass nki. As well as changing the attack/attack curve knob help with the T-800 Model 101 roboticness.
Most DAWs have a midi humanization function built in. Highlight all the midi in the midi editor and apply it.

Thanks Daybreak, I'm working on it, I fucking love Architects (fucking shit miss the concert wednesday in Madrid for work. I take the thread to ask you: how usually you mix the synths (eq, comp, buss, etc). I'm completely lost on that. Any tip?
