matt have a question about the new 6505

hey i just picked this bad boy up and i cant seem to get the thick full distortion that you have on those tracks you recorded for the Krank v. mesa boogie thread... any suggestions?

oh and whenever i run anything through my effects loop it gives a loud buzzing sound... is there something i can do to fix this or did i get a deffective amp?

also ive heard some rumors about the 6505 plus having less gain... this seems rediculous as the only real difference is that the clean channel gets an extra tube... but this might be my problem as well as i have the plus edition... any information you have would be helpful

Sure man, what are your settings? Watch the gain...those amps have way too much. To me what makes the 5150 so great is how midrangey it is voiced--almost ALWAYS works in a mix.

well ive found a decent sound but im using an outboard eq pedal... what were your settings on the recordings you did?
