Megadeth announces new album title - "TH1RT3EN"

In a pre-show interview backstage at the Sonisphere festival in Knebworth, UK, Mustaine said of the new record, "I started playing guitar at 13 and this is our 13th record and I was born on the 13th. As soon as I said I was going to call it 13, I started noticing 13 everywhere."

Is it going to be officially titled "13" or "Th1rt3en"? The latter in particular would be tacky as hell, but it's the quality of the album that matters!

I can't help but think of Anvil's "This is Thirteen" when I see this, although I'm in no way saying that Megadeth definitely stole the essence of their idea!

I agree, the title is very important, it has to be catchy just like the music if you ask me!

i kinda like the name... i think just "13" would be a better way of spelling it. with all the 13 related stuff he talked about i thought it fit well. a good album name is always cool but i'm perfectly okay listening to an album called "enema of the state"

Checked this out recently and I reckon it's not bad. Lies somewhere between United Abominations and Endgame. Better than the latter, certainly.

Absolutely boring by Megadave's standards...the riff king seems to have taken an album off. Handful of good tracks, but not great as an overall album.
