Risk was godawful, and I always felt that So Far... and Cryptic Writings were sub-par, though each has a couple of good tunes. I used to really like Countdown but it really bores me now. I haven't listened to anything since Risk.

To summarize:

Killing, Peace Sells, RIP, Youthanasia = w00t
everything else = lol
MD45 = seriously, what the fuck is wrong with you Dave?

What's weird is that a lot of "critics" will tell you that Countdown was Megadeth's best album ever...which the fans will tell you is bullshit.

That's actually kind of similar with Nevermore. The industry critics LOVE Dead Heart, yet its quite clear from browsing this board that Dead Heart is often thought of amongst fans as somewhat of a sub-par effort.
