Well this sucks. I was going to go to Gigantour to support you, even though I don't like Megadeth or any of the other bands listed... but, it's not going to Atlantic City this year. Gaaaay gay gay gay.
Chris is a superb guitarist, and being the intelligent guy he is, he will have considered the Mustaine's reputation before joining the ranks. I photographed Chris (playing his 7 string Ibanez custom) with Nevermore (shots at www.rocklens.com) and he was brilliant (along with Mr Loomis of course!).
I can't wait to photograph Megadeth in Birmingham soon .. keep an eye on my website for images!

How does Dave feel about your seven strings? From what I gather it seems he isn't the biggest fan of them or downtuning, to say the least.

...but to be honest, this news saddens me, alot!
I am a huge Jag Panzer fan, and got into them mainly because of Chris' songs (back the mechanized erea)... how good can the Panzer be without him? The combination of his more technically songs and Briody's more straight forward ones were a superb mix!
...that said, I really think Chris would have filled perfectly the ever -cursed -2nd guitarist- place in fucking Nevermore alongside with Jeff of the Loom!
Now the gig with Megadeth is a big one, for sure... but I really do not like this band! I never did (yeah from teh Metallicamp)... that is somehow a damn fucking thing havin one of my fave players in a band I never would listen to, respectively ever want to see live! But you know, I can understand the decision!
...so Chris if you read this, I hope you finally get the respect you deserve!!! Have a good time on the road and shred like hell!!!

Sounds bad as a Jag Panzer and Nevermore fan, but also a (80's-90's era) Megadeth fan sounds good and i hope you'll make a so much more better Megadeth record than last and before with your support.

Dave actually mentioned doing something like this in a recent post!!I haven't seen the duel ya mention, but he was talking about maybe extending a song or two to allow a lil shred on the end!!
