It will be interesting, it will push them to recreate the sounds. I wonder who else they will take on tour with them?. I would love to see Opeth continue to experiment with the tron samples and rhodes on their heavy material. Like everyone else though I don't want to see black metal synth.

It'd probably be a synth patch... Mikael said somewhere they found a really awesome patch for the recording of the album because they couldn't afford a real Mellotron. So they'll probably just load that into the keyboard of the dude from Spiritual Beggars.

Per Wilberg from Spiritual Beggars is doing the keyboards on the damnation tour. i saw spiritual beggars live a couple of weeks ago and asked him about it, him and mike are good friends apparantly.

Someone once told me that a mellotron was this massive apparatus that they don't use anymore since it is such a pain in the ass to lug around. I assumed that this "massive apparatus" was going to be sophisticated as well, lol.
