So, I was recently going through my CD collection and re-discovered my love to Melodic Deathmetal (which was quite in the background with all those Metalcore bands flodding the scene...) and I thought I'd share some albums with you that anyone fond of this genre should check out

I'm only focusing on the 90s here since that era basically gave birth to this genre. Now, I'll only post one album of a given band that was significant for me personally but that doesn't mean I wouldn't recommend any other release by them...

Mainly, I'd love to see what you can come up with and extend this list, just the same we did with the thrashy stuff a few weeks back

Edge of Sanity is one of my favourite band of all time. "Purgatory Afterglow" and/or "Slaughter of the Soul" have THE sound I'm searching for.
And glad to know that I'm not the only one to love Desultory's Bitterness...

I'm listening to Arch Enemy "Black Earth" right now. Field's of Desolation is probably my favorite songs off that album.

I think I prefer Burning Bridges, but yeah, Black Earth kills.
