melodic death metal mixtest. podxt/exzdfh

here's a heavy tune i've been working on, need some advice on how make the chorus sound better. four tracks of guitar, two rhythm, two "lead" pretty much playing the melody. also, the patch i used for the solo kinda sucks, rofl. too many mids, thats pretty much all it is.

Man, that guitar sound rips! The solos may have a bit too much mids as you said, but it makes them come out a bit in the mix aswell. Great job!

cool, thanks d0ods! the amp model is the big bottom, with the v30 cab. and the eq+boost. 421 mic. basically dimed the mids on the boost, and the treble at about 80% to give it some crispiness, rofl. the guitar is my Hellraiser C7 with EMG 707s. the bass kick has the waves SSL compressor on it. and i used its eq to boost 8k about 4db, and 3-4k about 3db. 50hz has a 6db boost on it to give it a nice thud when it does the triplets and stuff with the guitars. the bass is a guitar, rofl. ran through Guitar Rig. through a distortion model, then octave, then a bass amp and cab model. i then eq'd and compressed it a little to kinda make it sound more like a distorted bass, rofl.
