I did the recording and mixing for the new EP of my band MindMirror. The goal was to get that nice "commercial" sound but to keep it still heavy enough for this music style. Also wanted to stay away from a scooped overall sound. We lowered our guitar and bass tunings by a whole step on this new release and that also changed the overall sound a lot more than I had expected.
Could you guys tell me your opinion on how I succeeded? And what would you improve/change for future mixes?
