The site is in Finnish, but just click that huge play button.

So, this track is my first in terms of the sheer effort to try to make it sound good. Trust me, IT WAS HARD, and I'm still not 100% satisfied. I think I got too excited about my fancy enhancer plugin and put it a notch too far.

Tell me what you think about it, all comments are welcome!

The guitars are kinda digital, and also have way too much highend and not enough meat, but other than that its quite good. Vocals sound a bit too distorted but I think fixing the guitars will help that.

Are the drums programmed? I don't recognise them.. AD? Cymbals sound far too good for AD.

Actually listening to the crash maybe the guitars are weird cos of your enhancer plugin. The cymbals have a 'white noise' distortion to them. I'd back off on that a bit.

Drums are actually AD. The reason I use those is that you really can't spot them from a mile away, unlike DFH for example.

Guitars I agree, they are far too "shiny", but I think it's more about faulty EQ'ing than enhancer. Everything below 50hz is dropped off. I find it hard to make the mix not sound muddy, if your guitars have a meaty sound. I pretty much rely on bass when it comes to bringing the meat around my mix.

I'll have to check that "white noise" distortion, since I don't recall applying any distortion at all to cymbals. It might even be the song clipping. I'm pretty much a noob when it comes to mastering and such.
