I was wondering which preamps and consoles do members prefer the most when recording????

chandler tg2 is a winner on kick and snare, vocals and guitars too.
api 3124 on toms and overheads,
universal audio 2610 is awesome
a designs p1 is great
shadow hills mono gama is incredible on anything.

My fav all round module MZ-15, anyone know what I mean????

Oh man, I love talking about the good stuff. I've been fortunate to work with (so far):

SSL 9000 console (everything sounds amazing going through these preamps...no joke)
API 3124 and 512 (my dream is a couple of lunchboxes stuffed with 512's actually...lol)
A lot of Neve stuff (again, everything sounds amazing through these)
UA 8110 (fantastic stuff)
True Systems Precision 8 front-end (like 4 of these units, also fantastic)
Grace (just o.k. IMO, but better than alot of stuff)

Too bad I can't afford any of that stuff though...I'd be in heaven.

There is away of obtaining the SSL 9000 sound!!!!

I think Andy Fraser uses alot of neve consoles.

There's also ways of obtaining the Neve sound

Is anyone else interested in posting there comments??

i haven't used a whole lot of high-end pres, but those 2 definitely rock out with their cock out
