This is pretty cool stuff, Mendel. Keep us updated on this. Everything is sounding pretty good to me so far, the only thing I can think of is to kill a little bit of that bassy-boxiness on the rhythm guitar tone.

god damn... that song writing style is far beyond me. what keys/modes were you playing in for that part of the solo? that was ridiculously amazing, i'm awed..

Most of that stuff is Neo Classical. So Minor, Harmonic minor scales ala Yngwie Malmsteen or old Symphony X.
