Merch Haul - PPUSA XV

I actually spent less time and $$ in the vendor room than usual this year….in large part from trying to be respectful about the seat-saving issue. I made a couple of targeted trips looking for very specific things, and also asked Lance for recommendations (which are always great). In the early years, I would spend a few changeovers in the vendor room and literally look at every CD at every single booth. Here’s what I did come home with…

I live outside the USA so I can miss a good opportunity to buy stuff. On the other hand I can't afford not finding a must have so I buy most of the CDs over the internet. Bought around 30 CDs at Amazon and 10 at the festival(mostly thrash, death stuff) Bought also 2 tees(voyager and SW), 2 working shirts(PMind and SW) and a vinyl (insomnium new album)

From Vendor's perspective, sales volume this year might have been much lower. There were less than half of the crowd compared to past years in the vendor room. Last year I did not notice this. But this year it was a night and day difference

Digital music buying and digital music stream services seem also taken hold of ProgPower demographics as well.

It was extremely noticeable. In past years, noon on Saturday was a melee. This year I was looking around and wondering if they locked the doors.
