Mesa Dual Rec preamp tubes

I've searched far and wide - I'm trying to figure out which tube slots do what(V1, V2, etc) so I can decide what to upgrade to. I'm pretty sure the tubes in here are the original mesa tubes from 1996 or whatever lol

No problem dude, and I'd go for Penta Labs 12AX7's from www.dougstubes.com, they're my favorite! (best of the Chinese 9th gen tubes selected and relabeled) When I compared them in a shootout, I found them to be the perfect balance between the slight harshness of the Tung Sol and slight muffled-ness of the JJ (can't emphasize the slight part enough, however )
