Mesa Dual rectifier and EL34

A guy is selling me a mesa dual rectifier dual channel.
He says this version comes with EL34 as stock tubes.
Is he fooling me? He said this amp is an old stock.
I've seen pics of this beast, it has Mesa EL34.
I never seen a dual that came with EL34 as stock tubes, so for me this is an used amp.

I don't know, but maybe when you order it to Mesa you can ask for the type of tubes you want to be installed in, that may be the reason... (but then again, I don't know)

Some were indeed shipped with EL34s, and if you had to order it you could have specified the EL34s.
