Mesa Recto

I did hear some good results, but they were not just the recording pre-amp in action on it's own, it had a chain of stuff to make it sound better...

I have heard a lot of clips now, just the recording preamp, and quite frankly, it sounded like poop... dry poop that is, it just sounded fake to me...

But like i said, clips have been posted here, and they sounded pretty damn solid with the preamp just being another link in the chain... i would not rely on that preamp on it's own... just my thoughts...

 I know. I didn't make the clips so maybe something is wrong. But Line 6 is known for it's modeling and Mesa is known for it's Tube Amps and Cabs and such so maybe it does makes sense.

I own Recto Pre about a 4 months, and i'm happy :) (IMHO)

I never test a combination of Recto Pre with POD... but i dislike a POD sound. For postprocessing i use a impulse responces. This technique have a no limits for soundshaping.
