Mesa Triple Rectifier High Gain

Fuckin ay man, I'm potentially about to pull the trigger on one of these depending on how the auction goes.
What's the chain? Any boosts?

Yeah, after borrowing this thing, i pulled the trigger one hour ago, on a Dual Rev F, but i forgot to ask if it has EU voltage :) I will see what he responds...
Signal Chain is: Dean Cadikill with Seymour Duncun SH13, Sommer Cable, Ibanez TS9, On/Off, as seen in the Vid, Triple Rectifier, Vovox Speaker Cable, Marshall MF280B with Celestion Vintage 30MF, Shure SM57, No Post Production, EQ is flat.
Regards,
Simon

I agree with you about the Recto thing.

Im trying a new recipe as well: less reading, more playing haha but i have a lot of free time this week ( havent had that in so long) ao thats ok. Tryin to work on my theory harmony i guess its never too late :s

Sorry for derailin!

Very nice ! Loved the Fear Factory "edgecrusher" bit :)

I wish you also played some recent Cannibal Corpse and Malevolent Creation and Pig Destroyer riffs with this.
Cheers! I can't play much stuff of others :)

They do have personality , indeed. The older ones even more. They remind me a lot to VHT/Fryette amps, regarding the design and concept. I guess that, after Mesa got their inspiration from Soldano, the same happened with Fryette looking to Mesa.
Picking mine up on Friday, can't wait man! This video has got me pumped about it

EDIT: Fuck I just realised, we'll have the same amps. I just picked up a 6534+ last week, too!

Hi! Which one have you bought? The 6534+ is great! Everything from Marshall clean, to JCM800 to Hotrodded Marshall to 6505 and Mesa High Gain is possible. No boost needed to get in Recto territory. I'm not quite sure which one i like better :) Both are great. I just listened to your 6534 clip again. I like it! Cheers

Very good recipe : more playing, less reading! But no theory for me ... :)

Haha well im far from home this week and all i have is my guitar and no amp which makes it easier :p if u wanna hear a funny story the last time i tried studying harmony was about 12 years ago or so with my cousin who also played guitar. We got a bit bored so we decided to have a glass and then ended up drunk and got sick -> theory can be dangerous lol

Btw didnt know the 6534 was tgat versatile thats great! Been gasing for anither marshall mm.. I was thinking about the jvm 410hjs but ill check this obe out as well

Congrats! Which Revision? Serial? Have fun!

The other one i have is the yjm (love that one) but its more of a plexi. U sold the jvm so i guess not a fan huh? Im looking fwd to researching when i come back home and see what i can find about the 6534 tones i mean versatility like the tones u told me u could get with it! Thanks fir the advice bro (and sorry for derailin ur thread)

i am totally struggling with a triple rec right now. fucking fizz city. also have a 6505+ here to use but out of these amps, the bugera 333xl is the least fizzy. i just can't pull out a sound i'm happy with yet...

Have you tried a tubescreamer(gain: min./vol Max tone 12o clock) and a 12 o clock setting as a starting point on channel 2 vintage with bold and rectifier?

The JVM is a great, without a doubt. I just could'nt justify two Marshalls, so i kept the Thrash-Machine :) but it has a great clean and murder crunch, as well ...
