Here's a new and better comparison of the Triple vs. 5150 vs 412 vs Grossmann Iso Cab. Same settings and approximately the same mic position on the 412 and the Iso Cab. Which one do you prefer and why? (and don't tell me it's too much gain!:) )
Regards, Simon

Recto with 4x12 is awesome in this one. There is a hairy-ness in the gain and girth in the body of the notes that rules, it is what I like about the recto sound in general. I think the iso-cab minimizes this awesomeness greatly. 5150 sounds better through the 4x12 too. It has more consistency in the overall bloom of the chording and less dynamics. It sounds closer to a finished sound I would say. I prefer the Mesa of the two in this clip, but as ive said before I think the EVH might be a better choice for a fast death metal style.

I liked the Mesa better :)
But they sound pretty similar, recorded.
Eric Peterson said the EVH sounds like a Mesa, but better.
This was propably related to the Amps, alone. (without a boost). And that's right :)
Thanks!

Yeah, they definitely share similarities. How does the EVH sound boosted?

I liked the 4x12 clips better too.
