Not sure. I, honestly, expected to hate this because Im not a huge fan of Meshuggah. I guess I'll give Gojira another try.

Listened to Gojira in my car again today. My mains problems are that the vocalist REALLY reminds me of the guy from Fear Factory, which I hate. And the production makes my ears bleed. It honestly gives me a headache it is so jarring. They could be a lot better, and their are moments of awesomeness, but the aforementioned stuff kills it.

going to beat you with a dish rag ... its no more jarring than Obzen. as far as the vocals, no idea, neevr paid attention to FF. Gojira is a bit more "psychadelic" than the straight forward pummeling of ObZen.

I also have a feeling you like the 'coreish vocals of Messugah which are a bit of a turnoff for me.

Actually, the barking vox of Meshuggah are a turn off for me as well but I can see past it on this release since the music is sick. Gojira's music though has -core influences in it...Meshuggah no.
