Meshuggah POD XT Tone?

Hello. I made many patches when I first got my Pod XT Pro (Last April 2004), then Line 6 did an update and it totally changed the tones of everyone of my patches. So, I re-did them to that version, and left ONE Kataklysm patch from the first version.

Well, Line6 did another update a month or two ago. I didn't re-do any patches for that update.
But I use all three model packs- Metal Shop/ FX Junkie/ Collectors Classics when making patches. Hope this clears up somethings for you.

About two weeks ago I purchased the Metal/FX/Collector classics packs!!!!

It's been VERY worthy!!!

The ENGL amp model it's AWESOME!!! And so are the 5150 and Triple rectifier!!!

Indispensable is the Metal ZOne pedal model, used with a Marshall (for that sweet gotheborg sound...).

Every one who has a Pod XT should buy that update!!! Money well spent!!!
:Spin:

Does anyone here use the Collectors Classics stuff? I have metal pack and fx junkie (both very useful) but the stock amps on the POD XT already give me enough warm/vintage type sounds to work with, since I typically don't even use those types of tones.

Well, I agree that the stock "classic" amps are enough for us metalheads to work with. I would have been happy to get all 3 for 99 bucks. But I got the XT Live and it comes with the FX pack, so I already have one of them and don't want to spend 50 bucks on something I wouldn't really use. The Metalshop pack is cool though, gotta have that.

Hey Diobolic5150 I got some of your XT patches off another website. VERY NICE Nice "raw" sounds with no effects. Is there any reason you gated them so hi though?

Just for kicks, I'll add that I use the POD generally for 2 purposes, and I'm curious to see if y'all do the same:

1. to practice w/ my axe at low levels
2. to monitor with when recording direct (to be reamped later)
Yeah...I bought it for tracking guitarist (sratch tracks) when recording drum sets in my home. I was gonna sale it after I made my money from it, but Line 6 did that first update ....so I kept it!

I don't know if any of you guys know about this...But I use Hadley Hockensmiths "Fizz remover" box on ALL of my stuff! This box FUCKING ROCKS!!!!! It knocks the fizz out of the high gain amps. I DO NOT turn 'on' my Pod XT Pro without this box connected to the signal chain!

Yeah, I can't spell either!!!! And I call my Converse shoes my 'DimeBags'!!!!!!!
Believe it or not Hadley Hockensmith is Neil Diamonds guitarist. The guy is super cool too!

I did a Google for info on this but didn't find nothing. Please tell me, where can I get or how can I build one of these?
