I am a fan from northern IRELAND, and i can't tell you just how happy I was when I saw the date for Dublin! My jaw dropped and it made a long time dream come true. I have been a fan of the band since "once sent from the golden hall", and I have only been able to see you guys on big festivals until NOW
I always loved norse culture, and it was important to me that Ireland kept so much of the Scandinavian influence given to us by the Vikings. Most of our art and music is very similar too, and the country is steeped in similar folklore.
Me and my girlfriend are both pagans, I guess Ásatrú would be the closest to our religion, but I tend to call it "norse belief". Even though I held these beliefs close to me for years before getting to know amon amarth, your band's lyrics have inspired me to take my beliefs a step forward and begin to practice the traditions. I wish to thank you both for this, and for providing me with some of THE BEST metal I have heard in a long time. your success has been long overdue, and i am very happy that you guys are finally getting the recognition you deserve.
You are a fantastic band, and a great influence on my life, i hail you friends. Good luck and i will see you in dublin
