I only program them because I can't find a real (good) drummer, I would much rather prefer a real one!
well I'm sure this dude would like fredrik thorndal on his track if possible

Javi, how do you deal with "double tracking" ?
this would be awesome to have on a long flight haha. Bored? write and record an epic track!
the vst has the means in which to do double tracking built into it. in other words, they took multiple samples of everything, and made separate sample groups that do not contain the same set of samples.
insane bro!!! I'm kinda speechless.
Prominy products are great (I own LPC) but there is definitely a learning curve when wanting to jam or even manually write stuff with it. In the right hands, it can do wonders...just as Javi has shown.

probably the same way you feel about programmed drums?![]()
Haha. That was just ridiculous. It sounds so wrong.
It brings some old times in my mind when I tried to make decent guitar tones with FL Studio Slayer.
This sounds great, but I'm still very grateful that I bought guitar.![]()

as in midi out for each articulation? ( just like ewql hardcore bass ? ) man.. ever since i heard javi's demo.. ive been thinking of getting it.. its a bit expensive tho.. but then again my guitar skills aint that bad.. i think im just lazy. There is most definitely a learning curve with Prominy SC as well. I was overwhelmed for well over a month, but after reading the PDF 100+ times, things started clicking. The real power of Prominy SC is unleashed when you start using Midi CC# to quickly change articulations. This is absolutely essential in unlocking the "realness" of the instrument. (It also helps to have a solid understanding of guitar!!!)
Please please please please find a Stephen Hawkins type text-to-speech program and run it through an amp simulator and see if you can do the vocals too.

so u only used it to determine up/down stroke? i wish ewql hardcore bass has that function. Im too broke to buy a bassNo. The Midi CC# assignments are just more in depth ways to control the various articulations of the guitar (ie: picking styles/up stroke only/down stroke only/alternate picking etc...)

I haven't listened to this yet because I know its going to make me cry
Edit: yep i cried

+1, lol I tried so hard when I was 16 to make the slayer sound realistic.

question for ya Javi, what are the limitations of prominy that youve come across while using it?
example,i can remember using samples in the past for guitar parts just to see how it'd sound and always found that fast chord changes would always produce a very fake sounding performance, aka sounding like a fucked up sitar or banjo in reason/whatever :/
have there been any songs/styles that youve been unable to reproduce by using prominy? reason why i ask is, you have some of the best sounding tracks with that library and ive been considering buying it after hearing some of the tracks youve posted. i just want to get some idea of what to expect if i fork out the cash for it![]()
