Ok, let's get this thing started.

For the first track I suggest Warfare by Jag Panzer (from Ample Destruction). For those that have never heard it check it out....

I was thinking that for the first vol we should try to stick to this kind of classic metal sound. Maybe do thrash on the next one, and then hair after that.

Stuff that you feel is good but underrated be it rare or just obscure or what ever. I know Jag Panzer is a big band now but I doubt that very few of the newer fans have heard the original tracks from Ample Destruction.

Cool, this is the kind of stuff I'm talking about. The Omen would fit nicely on the first vol. The other 2 bands would probably fit better when we do a more rock / hair vol.

I was goofing around trying to come up with a cover and did this...

The "metal underground revisited" part can stay or go, not sure about it.

I'd rather have a bad drawing/painting like we were talking about in the "worst covers" thread but I have no idea of where to find one.

Oh, and you've got to have "Black Metal" by Venom on it. What is an underground metal comp. with out Venom?

I'm a little up in the air about the word BOLTS also. I'd like it to be along the lines of the Nuggets title. Like Pebbles was a play on the Nuggets records. How about Metal Chips? I don't know. Anyone have any ideas?

Diamond head is a good suggestion but maybe another song like Icedmadnes said, Am I Evil is a well known song thanks to Metallica.

Angel Witch may work but I think Priest and MSG are too well know for this kind of thing. Keep thinking about it, any bands you've heard people talk about but you've never been able to track down a copy of?
