Thanks!
Yeah the guitars are pretty fucked up sounding... we were on a deadline to get a mix done and I might retrack them now. It's kind of funny how many bad things happened during the guitar tracking:
- One of the power tubes in my Krank died literally during the first recorded note, so I used a borrowed JCM2000
- I used a weird fuzz pedal on the riff when the drums come in, probably didn't help with the mud
- I didn't notice the Pro Tools Windows bug at first, just thought I played too far ahead of the beat, which ended up fucking over the bass and other guitar that tracked after me. I finally realized that it had to have been something software related when I reamped the bass and it was almost a full eighth note ahead of the beat
- I mic'd the other guitar player's amp (an AC30 with an MXR Full Bore Metal pedal for distortion...:zombie

with an AE2500 stereo mic, and didn't realize that I unplugged one of the two lines so that I could track vocals, so I recorded the dynamic half of the AE2500 and the SM7 that was 3 feet above and perpendicular to the AC30
