i think it's heavy as hell. i can't really help u because i can't get any recording as good as this. great song.

got this track from this forum and practice my mix ,used cubase to mix plugins ezdrummer, amp sim from lepou and izotope ozone 4 for the master bus ... still a beginner and still learning ... hope you don't mind the crappy sound .. thanks

@Spencer, do you have a HP on the guitars? sounds like there is a bit of a gap between where the guitars leave off and the bass picks up. Also, cymbals are extremely trebly/trashy sounding; try taming the highs on your OH just a tad (or don't compress them as much or at all).
@newbiemix, dude... this is classic thread hijacking. The OP wants feedback on his track, not yours, dude... FWIW, you need to work on your drum OH too. However, its not a terrible mix, but i haven't heard the reference or anyone else's mix because this post belongs on the thread where you got this track from...

The Lead Guitar or whatever is playing there in the background is hard to hear. Search maybe a good sounding spot in the midrange of this and boost it about 3db on the instrument and reduce the same on your rythm guitars. They wont miss it if you dont cut too much but your leadguitar gets a bit more air.

Everything sounds nice! But I recommend (my opinion) that you should smooth out the guitars a little but. The high end crunch is a little distracting. But it IS a nice tone, I'm just recommending that for the mix. Also, tighten up the guitar playing and it will be golden. Maybe slip edit them slightly to be in time with each other (all guitar tracks). Are you quad tracking?
