DARKSEED: Singer leaves the band
Stefans statement why he left the band.
"Hi all!
Many people have demanded a clear statement explaining why I left the band
Darkseed, the band I formed 11 years ago. The band originally comes from
Munich, but I moved 300 km away because I found a good job in the computer
gaming industry. I would still have been able to record more Darkseed CDs,
but the rest of the band wanted to play live, a thing I cannot do because it
simply requires too much time to rehearse the songs and play concerts. So I
proposed that they should look for a new vocalist after "Astral Adventures"
is released so that concerts can be played again and Darkseed will get more
publicity than they have in recent years.
I will concentrate on my solo project Shiva in Exile now
(www.shiva-in-exile.com), an experimental mixture between ethnic and gothic
music, maybe work on a new Betray my Secrets album with Christian of
Megaherz, and also work on computer game music. But the first thing I will
do (in fact I have already started to do) is to write a real metal album. It
will be the album I would have written for Darkseed after "Astral
Adventures". So don´t imagine that I will start a life without music!
OK, that´s about all of it. No dramatic words, no room for rumours
Thank you to all Darkseed fans, the old ones from 1992 as well as the new
ones who bought Diving into Darkness and Astral Adventures, and good luck
for the new Darkseed line-up. Also many thanks to Alex Koenig alias Darksoul

"Severe Torture has recruited an extra guitarplayer! His name is Marvin and he also plays in Blo.Torch. We met him during the Cannibal Corpse tour last year were he played (guest)guitar for Dew-Scented. Currently we are writing stuff for the upcoming album based on 2 guitars and it's sounds killer!! VADER New bassist !
"After latest gig in Israel VADER parted ways with Simon (bass), due to some personal differences. Novy (well known for his participation in bands like BEHEMOTH and DEVILYN) has joined the band as his replacement. VADER will play first show in the new line up on 19th of July in Czech Republic and then 20th of July in Poland (Gliwice)."
VADER will take part in this fall's "Art of Noise II" tour, featuring headliners NILE with additional support from KREATOR, AMON AMARTH and GOATWHORE.

HELLOWEEN annouce World Tour 2003
"We are proud to announce the dates for the upcoming HELLOWEEN Worldtour for their excellent "Rabbit Don't Come Easy" album. The album received a fantastic response and entered charts in Sweden (12), Finland (23), Germany (26), Hungary (31), Spain (34), Czech Republic (35) and Switzerland (93). The support slots are not confirmed yet, except for the USA, where Jag Panzer will be on the billing. SODOM - Live DVD on the way ?
The upcoming weekend (June 27th and 28th) SODOM are to play Bang Your Head Festival in Baling.
SODOM will hit the stage on Friday afternoon ninth band to the bill (sandwiched in between Dokken and Hammerfall). For the show
Tom, Bernemann and Bobby digged deep in the vaults to add some rarities to the Setlist which haven't been played for ages.
The show is planned to be filmed professionally (as well as the gig at the 20 years of Rock Hard Magazine two weeks ago)
and is supposed to be released on a future DVD. So put on your best suits!
Until then you can put your teeth into Sodom new double live album called "One Night In Bangkok" to be released on July 28th in Europe and on August 12th in USA.

"Live Kreation - Revisioned Glory", due in North America on July 22 through SPV (June 23 in the rest of the world), features 17 live tracks mixed in 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround Sound as well as a complete 55-minute year-by-year video history of KREATOR, including all of the band's video clips & new documentary-style interviews with frontman Mille, additional live footage, behind-the-scenes footage and many other bonus features. Mille comments on this colossal endeavor, "Putting together the material for the DVD was hard work, a little tricky, but in the end a lot of fun! One thing was clear to me from the beginning: no compromise on ANYTHING to make this output the ultimate in quality!! I did not know many music DVDs before I started working on ours, so I checked other bands' releases. I was very disappointed by the fact that some artists just put out shitty hand-camera footage and sell it to their audiences as live videos. Luckily, our record company was aware of that problem, and so we hired two professional camera teams to film our shows in Korea and Brazil. Other than that, I personally started shooting all kinds of behind-the-scenes material on tour. To make it all complete, we put together a history documentary, going way back in time, including all official KREATOR video clips shot so far, plus previously unreleased interview footage, TV appearances and other rare stuff. So now, after almost half a year in several cutting rooms, mixing studios, in my living room looking through old video tapes, I can promise you, you will definitely enjoy this fucker!"

In addition to the DVD, KREATOR will be unleashing their first-ever live album, "Live Kreation", featuring 24 tracks of the group's inimitable, blue-collared "extreme aggression," recorded around the world and produced by renowned knob-smith Andy Sneap (MACHINE HEAD, ARCH ENEMY, FOZZY, SKINLAB). Says Mille, "Over the years, a lot of our fans kept asking us for a live record. We loved the idea and started working on it in the beginning of our 'World Revolution' tour. Modern technology allowed us to record 22 shows in total, so at the end of the day, we had tons of stuff to choose from. Capturing good performances from shows in Brazil, Korea, France, Germany and Greece, we've spent a long time picking the right atmosphere of each individual track, kept them all raw and direct, to make this first live album in the history of KREATOR a special experience for us and our fans. Andy Sneap did a killer job mixing this 24-track monster, including songs from every album we've recorded."
