Legendary Canadian experimental metallers VOIVOD have finished mixing their much-anticipated new album with producer Glen Robinson (VOIVOD's "Nothingface", TEA PARTY, GWAR) at Multisons studio in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Drummer Michael "Away' Langevin has checked in with the following update:
"We just finished the mixing of the album. Glen, Jason [Newsted, bass], Snake [Denis Belanger, vocals] and I worked some crazy shifts to make sure that all the parts blend properly. Of course, we gave the guitar a particular attention. We really didn't want Piggy to be low in the mix. Glen is back in New York City and he's taking the album to Howie Weinberg for mastering today. Now I have to finish the art!"

Australian act BLOOD DUSTER who are described as blending lethal grindcore with traditional '70s-style Southern rock and rockabilly rhythms spiced up with a large dose of grossed-out humor have almost finished writing the material for their upcoming album and "are all really happy with the direction it is taking," according to a posting on the band's web site.
ARCH ENEMY guitarist Michael Amott has posted the following message on the group's official web site:
"OK, so what's happened 'round here? Well, we've actually been keeping busy and focused during our time home since the holidays. A lot of effort has gone into working on the first-ever ARCH ENEMY DVD, 'Live Apocalypse', which is now very near completion. The DVD is shaping up to be an ultra-cool two-disc affair and I honestly couldn't be happier with it. The main show is from the Forum in London, U.K (December 2004) and we also have footage from Manchester, U.K in December 2005 (there'll be three songs included from that). It goes without saying that there's tons of extras/special features as there should be! The artwork was done by Niklas Sundin of Cabin Fever Media.
