Check out Amoeba music on Sunset blvd in Hollywood. Huge fucking place full of every type of music you can think of. Great metal selection and some great stuff hidden away throughout the store.
Also, check out Dark Realm records in Downey. A little bit of a drive but surely something cool. I think RiA posted about it in another thread. The Sadistic Intent guys run this joint.

Amoeba and Dark Realm are two absolute musts. I strongly suggest going to Amoeba early on a weekday to avoid the dregs of society.

Amoeba has the worst parking ever. definitely go on a weekday. I went there last week and scored some Fleurety, Helstar and a few other cds and a Lebowski poster for $55.

I parked in the little caged lot behind the store. I try for that first, then the underground claustrophobia lot, and if both of those options suck ass I then go to the structure across the street.
