Hi,

I would really appreciate it if you guys could help me with this mix.

Drums: DFH, Snare and Kick replaced.
Guitars: 4 tracks (two tracks on each side) TS, Solo C, Framus Impulse
Bass: WARP (not sure on this one :p )

I had an instrumental mix of this song a few months ago and the band really liked it. Now they recorded vocals for it and sent me the tracks. The clean vocals are fine, the shouts (or whatever that is) are unfortunately distorting at some parts.

The mix seems really stuffed, but I'm not sure what I should change. I already replaced the kick drum with a different sample and the vocals have a bit more room now but it still doesn't seem right.
I passed the guitars at around 100Hz and 12 kHz, But I think there is too much going on in the mids...well, what do you think?
My ears are tired; the vocals are probably mixed too loud.

I only did a quick "master" on this to make it louder.

Well, any help/constructive criticism is appreciated.

Thanks a lot. :)

Guitars are too busy, try to get out some junk of the higher mids, maybe by better settings on the ampsim
SoloC can fuck you if you fuck with the contour and highs too much (imo)
also vocals are very centered, overheads are really low
generally theres a lot of stuff going on in the middle at times...clean, scream, lead guitar, harmonies...
