Hi!

So here is my newest mix...there are four rhythm guitar tracks and one "lead" guitar track, one bass track.

Drums are DKFH, Snare and Kick replaced.

The settings are based ond the settings I used on the song I posted before...though the kick drum is lower now and I adjusted the overall settings a bit.

I'm still struggling with the lead guitar (it's too low on this mixdown and it's supposed to have a special/weird effect...which it doesn't have yet ;) ).

Any advice/opinion (on anything regarding the mix) helps and is appreciated. :)

It sounds nice, but try to drop 1or2 db the bass, its too boomy on my speakers, and the snare it sounds too digital, try a little reverb on it and boost a little 250hz.

Sounds nice. As people already suggested, lower the bass a little.

Could I ask for a favor? I've been trying to get a good tone and I've read that guitars should be EQed in the mix. Could you post the same clip but with guitars only and no post processing (that is if you added something to the group channel disable it) and one with guitars only and post-processing? I need this to learn how much should guitars be post-processed to sound good

Hi!

Thanks for the responses!

I reworked the mix a bit: http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/602401/chris03-03.mp3

Bass is lower now, but I guess the cymbals are too loud now in this version (client wanted them to be louder); also ignore the distorted sub bass stuff. ;)

@Dexter: not really sure what you want...mainly the only thing I used for EQing is SoloC; you want me to set everything at 12 o clock and do a mixdown then?
Or the raw DI tracks?
