Hey guys, thought id share a song i recorded with my band.. sadly no vocals of yet though. Im not the best guitarist so im sure you'll all hear faults and i think the bass has gone a bit weird :s sounded fine once i put it through pod farm though.. Tempo is 150, then at 29.1.1.0 it changes to 210, at 49.1.1.0 it changes back to 150 then at 66.1.1.0 it changes to 210 and at 82.1.1.0 it goes to 150 and finally at 152.1.1.0 it goes to 210 pheww!

Reference mix is here: http://soundcloud.com/crucifycowards/song3-2-0

( if you really want to know i recorded the guitars with podfarm, then a gods farm impulse and for bass i used podfarm and TSE BOD Drums are various samples from various places, through Kontakt :))

No worries man, have to wait for them to upload anyway :) the only reason i didnt use wavs instead is because of the larger file >_<

EDIT: Done :) all files are fine and there now

Dropbox is the standard around here: it's free, fast and allows for direct download/streaming with no waiting. Cool song by the way, will give this a try when I have free time. Thank you.

oh ok, sorry.. ill put it on dropbox next time i upload something unless everyone wants it on dropbox?

You're sort-of right.

Dropbox is good if you have a mix you want to share, but it's not recommended when sharing large project files as you can hit your limit pretty quickly with everyone downloading your files! For large mixing projects, you should use one of the other alternatives like rapidshare, mediafire, megaupload, etc. However, to make things easier, it would be better if you would ZIP all the wav files down into one file, that way it's not as much of a pain in the ass using those download sites to download your project files.

My go at this mix, I couldn't get the midi drums to fix with the grid in PT10 so I ended up using the Wav. Drum mix. The Drums were ok, but the overheads sounded so fake! The bass was no good as well, but I blended the crap out of it to the GTR. OVer all it was a fun mix to work on.
