It´s a German band and I posted another song from them a while ago.
This song is for a sampler I´m doing right now. A lot of none metal stuff on it as well.
I´m working on Nuendo (for the boooom you know ).
We used my single rectifier through a Mesa 4x12" miced with a Re 20 and a sm57 (my favourite mic combination at the moment).
Guitar was a LTD ec 500 with EMG 81 I guess.
In the choruses there were two additional guitar tracks of the 5150.
Nothing special going on in the mastering chain (waves rcomp, uad cambridge eq, tc finalizer - that´s it).
lol, he still sounds so american. I can't make out too many words. soundwise this is really good. in the chorus the vocals have some strange frequencys that hurt my ears.
I was already thinking of using a sidechain comp on the vocals (somewhere around 1000 Hz if I remember correctly). Guess I will be doing this.
Do you think the vocals are too quiet in the mix? The singer wants them a bit louder...
I didn´t understand the lyrics as well when I first heard them. Only in the chorus I recognized it was German.
