Ordeal deathmetal
Ordeal have just released their second demo called "Flee". The band started in 1991 and released their first piece of death metal in 1995 but due to some tragic reasons the band lay down for a while. But, they're back on track! Ordeal is a technical death metal band with influences from bands like Morbid Angel and Malevolent Creation, and you can really recognize those bands in the music! Think of "The Will To Kill" meets "Domination". Overall I can say that this is a very professional sounding demo. The sound is excellent (the band recorded this demo in Dé Studio in Asse, Ill Fares and Maggots and many others also recorded there!) This is a cool release from a fine band that got through bad times very well! You needed a best new band from 2004, well, you got it..

Drifting Breed - brutal metalcore from Paris
Founded upon the ashes of No Way Out, a metal band that had been existing since late 1999, Drifting Breed really took shape in May 2003 when Jonathan became the new drummer (though the name Drifting Breed had been found in 2001). It was the very moment when the Parisian combo (Paris and suburbs, to be more precise) refined their musical orientation and let their current style come to them, as they had been maturing it for months. If the principal elements of DB's music are the aggression, heaviness and groove of 90s thrash metal and hardcore in its new-school essence, one can also find various influences that tend to make the music more personal, such as blast-beats, the fury and hysteria of death-metal and grindcore, and also a melodic dimension and a gloomy aspect that could remind you the darkest side of metal.
It's kind of normal anyway, for all of the 5 band members have had a huge variety of influences growing on them through the years, be it metal and HxC or rock music in the broadest sense of the term.

Panchrysia - cold black metal
Brave black world, behold, as for these 4 iconoclasts worm their way to the foreground of contemporary black metal scenery. In an era where superficiality rages and the disadvantages of devastating technology (for nature as well as for culture) become clearly visible day by day, these 4 men grasp the banner of revolt and move forth in the battle against modern day alienation.
They've been marching on these hellish playgrounds since the winter of 1998. A rapidly growing fanbase & 2 high quality demo-tapes 'Nimisque Inhumane' & 'Exaltation', has brought them under the attention of Belgian companies. They've recorded for labels as LSP Company & Soulreaper Records, resulting in 2 excellent albums. 'In Obscure Depths' (2002, LSP Company), their first, positioned them as a talented newcomer and transformed them from an 100% underground band into a professional 4-piece.
'Malicious Parasite' (2004, Soulreaper Records) marked a step up to ultra-intense, uncompromising & hyper-fast black metal. Full of cold December chords, this album takes you on a journey through fear, desperation & aggression. Their music recalls the grim artics of Dark Throne, the urgency of Satyricon, served with the tightness of Emperor (to name some). And deep down under, you may even find a small hint of Celtic Frost.
They've been touring Europe, with some of the greatest in the field, in June 2004. They attacked France, England, Holland, Germany & Switzerland together with Malevolent Creation.
Panchrysia has the honour to open X-Mas Fest 2004 @ Paris on
