Its an abomination, it really is isnt it? The seek and destroy bit kills me, and when they add parts of the am I evil tapping, eeek. Kirk is having major problems playing that POS solo too!

It's not that bad.
Their problem is Kirk. He isn't able to stay in time with the drums when soloing.
The oscillating tempo is due to not playing with a click track (I can live with that), the vocals are OK.
They seem the same Metallica as 15 years ago. If you base your judgement on the Live Shit: binge & purge keep in mind that it was EDITED.
