they also sued a clothing designer too i think (Armani? not sure) for making a suit and calling it Metallica ..apparently.. not sure the validity of the story, and i also heard but dont know the validity of the story that they tried to sue a philly radio station over only playing their old music and none of their new. these may be tall tales i dont know.. just things i've heard in the past.

It was Victorias Secret and it was over a lipstick color name or something. I remember seeing it on the Daily Show when it happened lol.

They do seem to think that the 11th commandment is "only the band Metallica can use the word "metallica"". They think their band is like the Microsoft of the metal world. Besides....what good metal band would want to use that sound in their music anyway? Also, there are only so many chords to use. Anyway.......that was a very amusing prank.
