Metallica - The Album That Never Cames

Welcome Home just feels like a pretty weak ballad to me really. Wasn't one of my favourites even when I listened to Metallica. Regarding Creeping Death, yeah I used to love that song when I listened to Metallica. It still highly feels like light thrash compared to Slayer/Kreator and all the more extreme 80's bands to me.

AJFA

Great album, but hate the sound production the album has...it spoils that album for me...almost. MOP is for me the best album.

The new song sounds way better than the previous album..but I fear the song will get on my nerves rather easily. I don't understand why metallica have to make such long songs now. It would be a good idea if the song progressed in any way, but it just comes back to the same refrain with no ....well progression at all. Is it me, or is this a slight problem with their new way of making songs?

It's official, the cover art for Death Magnetic is now this:

If you're going to tell me to listen to Sodom and Destruction, then I think I'll pass, as they are mediocre in my opinion. Although, I prefer Destruction.

Mediocre :)

Sodom(They can still pump them out), Kreator(Early), Iron Angel, Holy Moses(Haven't heard their newer stuff), Destruction(Early), Tankard, Living Death, Exhumer, and Nocturnal (newer band, but fucking ace!)...I say check all those out.

What's ridiculous about "Welcome Home"? A fantastic semi-ballad in the vein of Fade to Black and One

You can't say that because Welcome Home has been made before one so you have to say that One is in the vein of Fade To Black and Welcome Home (Sanitarium).

I think that MoP is one of the most best albums made at that time but Im still not going to say that it is THE best. MoP is so many-sided and epic and metal and stuff. I also like RTL and AJFA very much. AJFA is so progressive at some times and the instrumental kicks ass <3

That song is so mediocre, there's really nothing special in it except for the fact that it is Metallica and every Metallica fan is going to be like "omg thats the best trash metal song since blackened asdfiaojh"

Now we'll just have to wait until Katatonia releases an album that we can all flame and talk shit about. I guess if I were a black and death metal fan I would be saying "Katatonia sold out, they suck, etc"

Actually, I had a friend who thought Dance of December souls was the only good album. He really thought Brave Murder Day sucked, and complained about their more commercial sound following discouraged ones.

brave rapes dance :)

I think in some ways it does. I always wanted to ask the band about what kind of drums they were using in Dance of December souls, because it kicks the shit out my speakers and sounds awesome! Maybe it was just the way it was produced.
