Moon is unfortunately gibbous at the moment, so that's going to screw up the viewing a bit. I caught a really good view of them camping on a river in southern Missouri about 10 years ago. No light pollution for many many miles around.

Yeah sadly I don't care about this at all, I'd have to go outside and wait around to see it and I've got a lot of packing/setting shit up to do before I go to my apartment tomorrow. Instead I'll work as I watch Reno 911, last time I went outside to see something I was disappointed except the one time I saw a red moon (don't know the real name for whatever it is) and that was pretty sweet.
Meh, went out at midnight, twas cloudy. Got up to pee at 4 AM and checked again, still cloudy. Poo!

I only saw about 20-25 meteors....2 of which were HUGE!
It took a while to see anything, and I didn't wear glasses, of course.
At one point I demanded to see a shooting star amazing enough to make me believe in god...and if two meteors happened to cross, then I'd have to follow Christ for sure.

Didn't see shit. I went outside for a smoke around 4:00 A.M. and it was pooring down rain. I love the rain and wish it rained as much here as people think it does but last night, I was hoping for clear skies.
