Mic'd Invader vs. Impulse Invader

I had some free time tonight and re-recorded one of my songs. The original version was my Invader recorded direct with a Recabinet impulse applied.. the new version is the same song with fresher and tighter takes. There are still some that need fixed.. the outro is not so great now.

Any pointers on the mic'd guitar tone would be nice..

There one part that we are changing and I muted the vocals in the mic'd version because they didn't fit.

Definitely too off-axis on the mic'ed track, go closer to the dustcap! It's especially evident comparing to the impulse one, you can hear how much more cloudy and muffled the mic'ed one sounds.
