michigan - detroit - harpos

I'd like to go on Opeth to Harpos. But I have several concerns about it:
- ticketmaster doesnt offer tickets anymore, what's going on?
- what's the deal with cameras there ?
(basically can I bring one and is it safe to take
pictures inside and not getting mugged outside:zombie:,
since I heard it's such a ghetto there)

I don't know much about the ticket master thing around here but I am in a band that is playing with Opeth , we were called Stygian from Lansing but we just took the name "Tristesse" we have tickets for sale for $15.00 and we might swing a better deal if you want more. As for the camera thing I know when we played at Harpo's on MArch 22nd we had pictures taken so that was no problem and I had no problems with any ghetto folk. Harpo's is right off the highway and in a shit area but as long as you keep to yourself or stick eith friends it is fine.

Opeth is not heading in Detroit. They are playing with
Oskar Saville, which is what? ... never heard of them.
Amazon says it's indie/rock pop =0)... I mean what
the hell!! I guess there is no way for Opeth to play hard stuff =(( ... It's kinda dissapointing ...

The funny situation with all bands actually.

Ticketmaster says that Oskar Saville suppose to play, century media
says that there going to be Opeth, Lacuna Coil and Beyond the
Embrace, now you Scott saying that your band suppose to be there
0). I mean it's just funny ... and weird. So here is the list of the bands
that I assume to expect on the concert:

Opeth
Oskar Saville
Lacuna Coil
Beyond the Embrace
Tristesse (Stygian)


It's like a mini festival 0) ... isnt it

I am from Canada and will be coming in from Windsor. If anyone knows an easy way to get to Harpo's from the border, PM me or something...

I looked it up from Windsor to Harpo's and I am not sure if it is right or not because it says only about 15 minutes. I am not from MI so I have no idea how close things are but I live in Lansing now and it takes my band almost 2 hours to get there. here is the info just remember Tristesse sent you there .....LOL

I checked out that mapquest site you posted; the section where they give directions is far out... and I think I'll take the route where I can avoid highways.

essentially all I will have to do is get onto gratiot off of randolph and travel down that street for a while and then turn right onto harper ave and look for Harpo's... that seems much easier for me...
