Was Oretoft ever a real member...or was he just a session member on DO like Åkerfeldt on BMD? Why and when did he quit?

Oretoft was a session guitarrist during the '96 tour. He sort of became a full member then, but they didn't have proper rehearsals for "Discouraged Ones" and it just didn't work out and all that, so eventually he got kicked out.

Thanks. Interesting reading, by the way. Indeed. But I did a "Micke Oretoft" search on this board, though, but didn't find the threads you are refering to. I had absolutely no clue about this, and it was not my intention bring it up again....

Yeah, I don't know why it doesn't show up in a search, I did one too to try and find it for you but with no luck, but luckily I knew what the thread title was, so I found it using the archive function
