I've been looking to buy a MIDI controller for my Axe FX, but seeing as Fractal refuses to fill the most obvious hole in their product line, and I myself refuse to pay 1000 for a lousy footswitch, i'm going to get something else.
I don't need a lot, but do have some specific wants:
- not too big of a footprint, needs to be as portable as possible
- ergo, I don't need 4 rows of knobs which I find clumsy anyway.
Just 1 row of my 4 most used Axe presets. Other switches can be
on a second row if need be, but the 4 must be next to each other
and spaced wide enough for comfort.
- Don't care for Wah or volume Expr Pedal.
- preferrably on phantom power
- preferrably Axe FX tuner compatible (although this is no dealbreaker)
- Ease of use/programming
- AFFORDABLE
- and of minor importance maybe a display that states the name of my chosen preset.
When I look at all the options, the Rocktron MIDI MATE comes out closest to my needs. Or maybe a Liquid Foot Jr+.
Anyone have one of these for sale? Or knows of a place that sells them? NOTE must be in EU. Thomann is out and so is musicstore. Other than that ebay and amazon only ship them from the US.
OR if anyone knows of another controller that meets the criteria, let me know!
