Midi playback in Reaper: how to change instrument?

try deleting all the crap info that comes with GP midis?

i dont know. go to mode:even list and try deleting some of the CC crap

go into your midi and delete any info you dont need. the things like midi pan will be on the far left of the midi editor below the piano roll in a drop down menu. the items that have guitar pro info will have a dot next to it so you can only delete the ones you need to.

To speed things up, create a custom action that does the following:
Select all CC events
Edit: delete events

Import the GP midi tracks, open the midi editor, select all notes Ctrl+A and run the custom action.
